Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Instagram grid split?
You split one large image into 9 tiles (3×3) and upload them in order. When viewed on your profile, the tiles form one seamless panoramic image.
In what order should I upload the tiles?
Upload from tile 9 (bottom-right) to tile 1 (top-left). Instagram shows the most recent post in the first cell of the grid.
What is the difference between Post (3:4) and Reels (9:16)?
Post mode uses a 3:4 portrait ratio for each tile, while Reels mode uses a 9:16 vertical ratio for reel covers. This tool supports both.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All image processing happens entirely in your browser. No images are ever sent to a server.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WEBP formats are supported, with a maximum file size of 20MB.
